An American band from the 90's, covering New Order. Anybody else remember/enjoy them?

From near by Lancaster/Hershey area, a great band. Saw them about 5 years ago in a small club in Philadelphia. The first two albums are pure genuis. If only they had gotten more pub and exposure....

Also love their cover of the Smiths "There is a Light...."

They're still around - have had some good albums since too. Though, the singer in the clip doesn't sound like their usual.

After the band I was in opened up for The Judybats and Riverside in the early nineties, we were encouraged to send a demo to Steve Lau. He was The Ocean Blue's keyboard player/producer and was beginning to make a name for himself with outside production work. I don't remember ever getting a response back. He either hated us or never received the tape.

His Kinetic Records label later became quite influential in the US. Our band, however, went nowhere.

Andy,

I freakin' loved Riverside. Saw them loads in the Philly area. They actually opened for Ocean Blue again when I saw them in 2004. Still a great band live....

Sorry about yer band tho...least you had one....
