Just heard that Bernard's up on Chris Evan's 'Jukebox' in the next 40 minutes. Live link via the following:

Sounds much more beefed up than the MySpace version.
I'm not sure whether or not that's because I'm hearing it thru the BBC iPlayer!
Some comments from listeners:
"Dream Academy meets Echo & the Bunnymen"
"Swim? They will positively fly up the charts"
"No Hooky, no humph!"
"Dull, dull, dull. Wake me up when he comes up with something new."
"Send it back to Bernard!"
Result: On the verge of a miss but will be a hit, according to Radio 2 listeners.

I bet you say that to all the boys!
Only when the missus is out of earshot...
Least Chris Evans had the common decency to call 'em Bad Lef-tenant! Er, even though that's not their name, but still!
Bit shit, innit? Thought it might be radically different from the myspace thing but it's just as lightweight.
Do like Barney's voice though, so there's somefink positive.
Why do all the comments say this sounds so "80's"? It sounds more like mid-90's non-descript BritPap to me. (And, yes, I did mean to say 'Pap').
its drab isn't it,just plods along all the way through i don't hold much hope for the album if thats the first single,i thought all the electronic albums were shite to tell truth but they always had a good first single
[orange]I do like it, but everytime I hear the chorus there's the main guitar bit that runs through it and I can't help but think how much better it would sound coming from Hooky's bass.[/orange]
