I remember Hooky saying that when they released substance a lot of americans did not know Jd no longer existed. They were asking when JD would tour. They had no idea IC died. So at the time, a lot of people probably fell for it. In all fairness to my yankee neighbors, this was in pre-internet days, and news traveled a lot slower those days.

I've got a JD photograph which was signed three times no less by BS, but as all three signatures look different I doubt it is genuine (unless he needed a practice run to get it right!) Who cares? It was for charity and it looks good on the wall 
Autograph is worth it only if you are the one it's giving to anyways.
I have a copy of WFTSC signed by Hooky and Phil and a bunch of Community 2 CDs signed by Hooky, that's worth it lol.
Otherwise, who knows if it's real or not anyways lol.
