Hello all - I was wondering if anyone can recommend any hotels close to where the BL gig will be for the Paris show? I'm leaving this late as usual - also realised my passports expired so am gonna have to go to Liverpool for that 1 day express thing to get a new one or i'm screwed!! After seeing BL at the Ritz I can't bear missing this gig!!!!

I had booked the Ibis Sacre Coeur, but now the missus ain't comin' I cancelled that and plumped for this little dive! Reviews look alright on tripadvisor.com and it cost £40 a night. It's 20 minutes walk from the venue.

Hotel Modern - Montmartre

EDIT: £40 a night booking through a link on travelsupermarket.com, not via the hotels website.

Thanks for the tip! Don't care if it's a dive - just somewhere to put my head down after the gig! Now all I gotta do is get my passport or i'll have to use plan B and get some French lorry drivers to smuggle me across!!! :)

You flying in? Or training it?

Don't think I've never stopped in a Paris hotel which wasn't within 5mins walk of the Gard du Nord as I typically train it.

Either way, I'd stop around there. Few nasty flea-pits but if you're only doing one night then it ain't an issue.

Few of us are over on the Boulevard de Rochechouart.

Think the Germans are in Rue La Fayette.

The gig's right by Place de l'Opera anyways, so easy to get to. Central Paris ain't that big so everything's easily walkable.

Just a shame it's soooo facking expensive to have a drink.

Speaking of having a drink - any of the French Order got any ideas of places for a pre-gig drink...?

She does. She just cringed at the thought of going to Paris with us lot and made the usual excuses about not being able to get the time off work!
