Nice opportunity to BL play this song live for the first time. If they did OoC why not HtS? :clap:

I agree- it would be a nice addition to the setlist. It would fit in well with BL's overall sound.

I never understood why this track took such a beating on this site. While they (producers the Chemical Brothers more than New Order themselves) were guilty of trying to recapture a sound that was a bit dated, it sounded better to me than much of the self-concious rawk that ended up on the Get Ready LP.

I consider Here to Stay to be their best single since Crystal. Would have been quite ironic for them to have called it quits then.

I think it's one of the best songs they recorded during that period. Wish it was on Get Ready along with Sabotage.

Solid track, the extended instrumental is beautiful, even the remix on one of the the 12x12". I would always put it on my playlist when i do my drawings(gets me in the zone). I still love it just as much. It would fit perfectly before 'out of control'. What a set that would be!!

I was thinking that most of us here at the time appreciated it :laugh:

We managed to get the CD before it came out and took it to a club in Manchester for it's first airing. Went down a storm :nod:

I think Here To Stay is the last great song New Order ever wrote. Certainly the best they've done since Regret. If BL played it live I could defineately be persuaded to take in a gig, especially with Tighten Up, Out Of Control and Temptation in the mix too. All very good choices from the back catalogue. Sad that they've had to resort to plundering Barney's past to sell tckets but inevitable I s'pose

Nothing would ever persuade me to buy that album though. Or even download it for free (if I knew how all that 'torrent' shizzle worked). The 10 second previews of each track on iTunes were enough to make me run to the hills.

certainly the last song written specifically and released as a single rather than the album tracks released as singles weve had since 89,, love the track and yes be good to hear live ,, bernard is the good cop who chooses now,,, and i dont agree that he has to raid his back catolougue to sell tickets the bad loo stuff stands up and i would be quite happy to hear an entire set of bad loo.
