From BL website

On behalf of the band and management I would like to apologize to all our fans who have been inconvenienced in any way by the cancellation of our US gigs. The band are very upset and surprised by this, as the fans obviously are. I am informed that this was caused by administrative problems with our visa application and at this late stage nothing can be done. We are trying our hardest to reschedule the gigs for spring next year and to add extra shows in the USA.

I appreciate the concern. I am in fact out a plane ticket and hotel room. It would be great if you could schedule something within driving distance of Houston TX. Houston, Dallas, Austin, or New Orleans. Imagine my wife's reaction if this bit me twice.

Be sure and add Austin TX for a date. Maybe our music festival in March!

Brits need a visa to get into the US? I guess if they're working and all.

Hope to see them soon as they get it all sorted!

Chris,

I think the problem was the lack of audience.

I believe tourists are granted visa-free status, but not other people not coming in as a tourist.

I very much doubt they would cancel their support gigs to cover the fact that had to cancel their own gigs?!?

Pretty much every country needs a visiting visa to visit the US, and a working visa... but those are usually easy to come by. The hardest ones are the fiance' visas, as they often have long waits and denials... you don't think Steve and Barney were looking to hook up do ya?:uhoh:

there is nothing wrong with Pompey apart from the women.

Any vikings up for a trip to a couple of the gigs New York and Chicago for example. Mr Jarvis, Giles, Nobby, Wolfram etc? I could be up for this as would the boy wonder Gordy.

Bernard, i would forgive you if you said poor ticket sales. Next time, smaller venues. You can play my basement.
