Peter Hook has revealed that he would love to have Keith Moon on the drum kit in his dream band, along with John Entwistle on bass guitar.
The ex-Joy Division and New Order bassist was asked by the Independent to name his fantasy band and picked out The Who's rhythm section as two of his chosen musicians.
Entwistle's bass guitar playing was described as one of the most important components of The Who's sound, along with Moon's "wonderful" drumming.
Hook also picked out Mick Ronson, who is best known for playing on many of David Bowie's hits, as his ideal electric guitar player.
"His playing perfectly complemented Bowie's vocals," he commented.
The musician added that he would also like to have Brian Eno on keyboards and Stooges frontman Iggy Pop as his vocalist.
Hook first rose to prominence in the late 1970s, founding Joy Division with Bernard Sumner and the late Ian Curtis.
