I bought Low-life in the summer of 86, a year after it came out. Then I got Brotherhood in the following fall. I remember sacrificing my high school grad picture money for it. I don't have my grad picture but I still have Brotherhood. :)
well, in my country was too dificult to get NO stuff...so, since 1984 to 1989 only had tapes. In 1990, one day i was walking on 82 th street in Bogota, and suddenly i heard fine time from a second floor of a store, then i went up stairs and that place was full of great stuff. That day i bought P.C &L, Substance, Technique, BBC Radio 1 Live in Concert, Low Life And Brotherhood.
It was a great day for me

yep, you're right that one bought it at the same place 2 years later
substance on casette! The guy in the shop got the tapes mixed up, so my first play was listing to the Bsides thinking they were the Asides. More confusion casued as they missed murder off the track listing too.
One question remains: what is that sound at the end of dub vulture?
Sorry i was being a bit sarcastic,after all these years i still cant get into Movement,2 good tracks on there maybe 3.

Technique. I kinda miss the days of getting an LP out of its sleeve, slipping it onto the record player, putting the stylus on the record, sitting back, listening to the cracks and pops before the songs kick in. Happy days:)

first stole my sisters Substance, so that doesn't count Technique was given to me. so doesn't count
Guess it was Republic. I saw it at the store I worked at, and had no idea that NO had a new release at the time. Because the cover said "a New Order Release" I wasn't sure if it actually was a NO album or a band named Republic calling an ep "A NEW ORDER RELEASE"... I took the chance and bought it, with store discount... needless to say I was well pleased and excited to find it actually was an NO album.
Yeah I started with LOW-LIFE (FACTORY library case cassette)then bought SUBSTANCE on double cassette.
The 1st one was 'Substance' when it went out followed by basically everything I could get my hands on
