seriously, New Order should have put this out all raw like this... far more interesting. More electro and New Ordery...
i like being able to hear all the synths going on.
and the lyrics are mixed clearer, more immediate.

Didn't Spotty (and a few others) just mention this stuff is NOT NO, but a practical joke? If so why have a house jizz party all over the stuff?
The early version of Get Ready does sound refreshing. I agree, a little rawer and more indie New Ordery sounding. That version of Close Range is nice, and the record just works so much better if they had left out the horrible misstep Rock the Shack, and left in Player in the League.... Slow Jam is even more tolerable that way. Rock the Shack contaminates the tracks before and after, it is just so ill advised. Crystal could have always avoided that embarrassing female vocal intro thou, it is so dorky.

But it has a certain naive charm to it. Especially as Jake sings it now.

Sorry, didn't realise Spotify was all of a sudden the authority on New Order rarities these days.
If this is a "practical joke" it's the most elaborate and expensive one I've heard in a long time. They also would have needed to nick several different takes of Bernard's unfinished vocals and re-record at least several different Hooky basslines and Steve drum riffs for the myriad versions of Brutal alone. Not to mention the mixing.
Don't you have a jizz house party to be getting on with?

THESE listed above are the infamous fake joke tracks Spotnick refered to earlier...
The Power of Independent Trucking Website RAR files people are talking about are actual unofficial recordings. There are some spotty demo tracks in one set, and an early cut of the Get Ready album in the other set.
I've got somewhere at home a cd called "Not Yet Ready" think it's Get Ready Promo, not sure.

Nah, that was just that post that was reposted here - the stuff to download is definitely not fake, got quite a few of the promos that comprise some of the tracks...

Thanks for clearing that up... I was, to say the least, utterly confused. Downloading now...
Turn My Way without Billy Corgan was great! What a treat. The Mission Impossible theme was also really good, probably my favorite take on it that I've heard. They were really sounding good during that period, it's too bad they couldn't keep the fire going that much longer. They really fell off the mark after Get Ready. Oh well, I like the non-confrontational, enjoyable music they make now too. Everything has there positives.
