I've just experienced something fantastic that inspired me to start this thread: I've just heard on VOXX FM (it's a portuguese radio, of course. Don't know if it's available on the net...) this great sequence of songs: Blue monday followed by: Crystal ending with: Rock the Shack So, you say, what's the thread? Simple, tell me (us) when was the last time you heard the Order on the radio, what song(s) it(they) was(were) and what station it was!

Blue Monday 88 on the cuttin edge mcr radio station Key103. Your always guaranteed that or Regret.
Last night Dutch Radio 3 aired some songs from the Roskilde festival. Unfortunately they made a rather safe choice: Atmosphere, Control, Temptation, LWTUA, Blue Monday. I'd rather heard some new songs too, like Close Range or Crystal. Can't have it all, though.
Must have been Crystal on CHOM FM in Montréal... I'm pretty sure I heard it on the radio at least once (I don't listen very much to radio anymore)
Otherwise, it's Regret in 1993.
I've been a lot more luckier with movies, nights clubs and publicites to have some New Order.
Bizarre Love Triangle last Friday night. Don't know what station the taxi driver had on. Think it was an eighties tinged segment as it was followed by a few others from that era.
Don't have much time to listen to the radio so this would have to be the STEVE L.(sorry can't spell it) radio sessions last OCTOBER.Now all residing on a CD sent by MUFFY that includes the 40 th birthday party song they did for JOHN PEEL....RADIO...LIVE TRANSMISSION...RADIO :D
Never listen to the radio as a rule but do distinctly remember keeping everyone in the car at Stansted Airport on our way to a stag do in Newcastle, in February I think, cos Jo Wylie said she was gonna play "Here To Stay" soon. ..
Terry Christian on Century FM 105.4 usually plays at least one New Order/Joy Division track during every show. Seems like he's a fan, he even played Dreams never end the other week and it's not often you hear that on the radio.
Well VOXX is at it again, they're playing "Leave me alone" at this precise moment... only it's a cover! Never heard it before, can anyone enlighten me (no, can't wait till the end of the song, in the afternoon they just play music with no intervention from the DJ- believe me, sometimes it's a relief...)?
Probably haven't heard any New Order since Mark and Lard played Here To Stay, but I did hear Transmission on daytime BBC Radio 2 last Friday. I'm not joking. It was picked by Roddy Frame of Aztec Camera fame...
Believe it or not, our local radio station that we HAVE to listen to at work (which is famed for playing Phil Bastard Collins, Stingker, Elton Twatface John....you get the meaning) has suddenly added TRUE FAITH to it's playlist.....I am convinced an ex-girlfriend has set this up, cos the DJ's at the station have all the taste of a pint o piss

Well, the local Clear Channel Top 40 station that is played in the office plays stuff from the 80s and 90s at lunch time, and Blue Monday, BLT, True Faith and Regret are played regularly.
As for the the other stations, it's the always dependable college stations, as well as a couple of independents that play NO. Hearing AOC for the first time on the radio on KBVR sent a shiver down my spine.
I hardly ever listen to the radio, but last time I did, it was 'XFM' (UK 'alternative' station) while I was making a theatre set.
As soon as I turned the radio on, they played 'Procession'. As soon as it finished, I turned off the radio - didn't think they'd beat that, no matter what they played...
As some of you claim not to listen to the radio, where do you here about new music/bands etc?
Please tell me you're not one of those sad bastards who only listen to JD/NO.

no really, i used to listen to the radio a lot, but then it started getting clogged up with god knows what! i get my new music from watching the wedge on much music and music recommedations from the fine people here.
last time i heard NO on the radio was...oh god. i've haven't been listening to it for two weeks! it was two or three weeks ago when my favourite music historian alan cross did a one hour special on NO/JD on CFNY 102.1.
THEY PLAY TRUE FAITH EVERYDAY ON CENTURY FM WITHOUT FAIL ALONG WITH UB40 PHIL COLLINS ETC ETC........
Off a satellite, Muzak service for busimess and such, there is a station that plays NO and alot of late 70s and 80s alternative music. I have heard BM, BLT, R&R, TF, LWTUA, Subculture among others.
I heard Bizarre Love Triangle Sunday on Mix 102.9 on Sunday afternoon...It's one of those stations that seem to have popped up all over the States (I've heard stations just like this in Houston, Corpus, San Francisco....) that play the "best mix of the 80's, 90's and today..."
If you consider Stevie Nicks to be some of the best of the 80's...and that Celine Dion chick to be best of the 90's...
but every now and then, they throw us a frigging bone...and I do usually have the CD player working in the car...and WINAMP here at the house...so the radio doesn't get a whole lot of use now days...

I miss CFNY... I use to live in TO, and that was one of its finest qualities. I hope it has not changed!!!!!
