Joy Division @ Paradiso

Manu thanks for this one! Tyhe very first JD bootleg I ever bought (a classy double blue vinyl) :thumb:

Spooky. I was going to search out this gig after I'd finally made it to the Paradiso a few weeks ago, and talking to Steve about this very gig.

It's a cracking venue. Can't wait to hear this.

At least they admit they are "mythologizing" (sic) the tour

What amuses me about this recording is that apparently only around 35 people were in the audience - meaning more people have heard the bootleg than actually attended the gig

Agreed, saw EMF there in 1992, there's a website somewhere with loads of video footage from the Paradiso.

Edit: Just checked and Fabchannel is now defunct

Hopefully TPOIT will do New Orders return there, that's one of my faves.

Jim - you traveled to the continent to watch EMF?? Is it considered acceptable to admit this kind of stuff these days??!

The best thing about that band was the lad (keyboard player?) who could - and regularly did - stuff entire citrus fruits under his foreskin. Excellent stuff.

We saw Fever Ray - what a gig. The whole thing is on youtube.

I was somewhat refreshed.

Clayhead I think it's fabulous that you didn't use the word unbelievable in that post.

I rose above the obvious temptation. Plus, of course, I was worried that (a) EMF might carry some incredible hip status today that I am far to uncool to be aware of and (b) the rather more pressing concern that I might be the only person on here who is physically incapable of fitting a whole lemon under the skin at the end of his cock. Plus, you bastards might all be Jewish and then I'd just sound like an anti-semite.

Fuck, life is complicated.

Nah! Went for a relaxing weekend, got off the coach early morning and saw a poster advertising they were playing Paradiso that night, an ideal excuse to go there. Got on the guest list and they were great.

Special moment of the event: Decades Live

For all you mac users out there I personally recommend popping the files into Garageband, adding a touch of bottom end and matrix reverb to your taste and it sounds really awesome.
