when trent rezner covered dead souls, did new order like that cover? what was there reaction?

I think they would've liked it, it's a pretty epic cover. And suited The Crow movie really well.

I always felt Trents version was more in step with the Central '79 recording as opposed to the latter take for Sordide Sentimental. Does anyone know if the Central version would have been available on bootleg in 93/94? The first official release, I believe, was on Heart & Soul.

He's introduced it with "this is a song by one of my favorite bands" plenty of times in the past though, before performing it.

Mr. Pete has an awesome cover of many JD tunes, the Transmission cover he did for his Cracklin' last year was top notch! And my fave would have to be the cover of Warsaw he did with Trent & Co. back when. 350125..in japanese...priceless=)
