The site is constantly being updated. Do not even think about requesting anything. The answer is NO. If you haven't got a Rapidshare account, I would suggest getting one cos the free downloads are playing up.

Joy Division - A Film By Malcolm Whitehead

This 17 minute film was included in The Factory Flick. Features footage of the band in rehearsal at TJ Davidson March or April 79 with various soundtracks dubbed over the top including speeches by Anderton (the Manchester Police chief at the time) and the SS oath of allegiance.

There's an interview with Joy Division's manager Rob Gretton recorded March 23rd 1979 and 3 songs fom Bowden Vale 14 March 79. We guess these are probably the same ones that are on the Substance video ie She's Lost Control, Shadowplay, Leaders of Men.

Apparently this was considered for inclusion on the Here Are The Young Men video but the band didn't like the idea.

or this one?

Leigh Festival 27 Aug 79

There has been a persistent rumour that the Leigh Festival performance was filmed but nothing to back it until early in 2007 Chris Hewitt who was heavily involved with the planning and running of the event stated one of the crew from the festival handed some film over to him. He says the footage includes the entire Joy Division set along with backstage footgage of Ian in particular. It is on film, not video, with sound, and the quality is described as pretty good. This footage has not been released and no unofficial copies have leaked out.

God it cracks me up, I will be like 87 and on my deathbed in 2057, and I will come here and check NOOL, and there will be news that Hooky's granddaughter has just officially released this stuff - and I will get to see it, and then die, knowing that all is right in the universe.

I have added the three songs that Malcolm recorded from the Bowden Vale Youth Club, unfortunately (if memory serves) the Rob Interview and footage from the rehearsals has never got out, though you do see snippets of the rehearsal footage on the fantastic Grant Gee documentary. These 17 minute film has been premiered a few times, most famously The Factory Flick in London 1979 but not leaked in whole.

As for the Leigh Festival, as far as I know this has not been confirmed, there are rumours that the full JD set exists, but that's all they are at the moment.

Plan K was filmed and has been verified but not leaked either. After all this time, you would think these would have been made available to fans, I'm sure most people here would happily pay to see the stuff. Alas, the timing for all of that to have taken place was when Control came out, so maybe this will never be leaked which is a total cunt.
