Best Live version of BM

Just wondering what you all think the best live performance Of BM was. I think its a toss up between Tolworth, Rock Around The Clock and was it Reading 89 with the extra Arhhh intro and housey Piano bits?

to be honest the only one that stands out in my memory is reading 89 but i had a bootleg of that gig that i used to listen to all the time, so that would explain it also i think that may also be my best new order gig. it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. after that gig i had a great nights sleep (well 17 mins) in a photo booth at reading train station. next night the pouges and managed to get a bed at a mates house only to find after the fact that the whole house had had food poioning so the third night during the mission i began to feel not at all well, and so commenced 12 hours of constant vomitting all the way back to sunny tottenham, bus - vommiting in front of people, train - vommoitting in front of lots more poeple, then another bus and more public vommiting. and then a long walk back to my mates flat - vommiting all the way. dont think i did the scottish reputation much good that night.

I think the version of Blue Monday they did at the Cleveland 1989 show was fantastic, lots of orchestra hit sample melodies played and improvised synths from Gillian, Steve, and Barney while Hooky tears up his bass during the outro.

The Leuven 85 version with the metal and then funk guitar from Bernard is great.

I also think the versions of Blue Monday that New Order did on the 2005-2006 tours were amazing, with Barney, Steve, and Phil all jamming on synths over the intro and outro and triggering samples of Kylie singing "Can't Get You Out of My Head". For the me the best version was Chicago 2995, probably because I was there, but also on the 06 tour and the Glasgow DVD, when they segued Perfect Kiss into Blue Monday.

I think that when they put their hearts into it, BM was a cracking song live.

Agreed, I also enjoy the Studio 54 version.
