New Order Are Back!

Just had a call from Steve Morris, Bernard and Hooky, from the speaker phone in Steve's kitchen.

Not sure what they'd all been up to but they were very giggly and occasionally broke into song. All of them sounded like they were eating crisps.

Basically, they'd called to let me know that they met up last night, had a bit of a chat and realised all this falling out was daft. They've agreed to disband Freebass and Bad Loo with immediate effect and start again as New Order.

They'll release the remaining Siren's tracks THIS WEEK on Hooky's label, and to honour live dates already booked as New Order. Tickets already sold will be valid.

After this, they plan to play a few more gigs around the country, do all the festivals then fuck off to Brazil and fall out again.

More news will be posted at midday, including details of how to download the new tracks.

Yes she'll be on the tour. As Bernard said to me this morning, it all went shit when Gillian left.

Phil doing the guitar tech job or is he just the tea boy?

They're letting the kids decide.

Every gig will start with the basic 4 piece line-up. If enough fans shout Phil's name, he'll come on and join in.

Seems fair enough.

Shit! Just realised I didn't get tickets for Freebass 'cause I'm off birdwatching that week. Will those gigs be done as Norder as well?

How much Joy Division stuff will they be playing? I'm sure they owe it to people like Dorkman for keeping the flame burning.

Steve says we can all go back to his after the gig, get pissed and rifle through his drawers. Not sure what he meant by that.

They'll play JD tracks, but only the good ones, according to Gillian.

Just got a text from Hooky:

"TELL THM CNTS IN THE TRIB BNDS THT THE GAME'S UP. THE REAL DEAL R BCK ND THT'S COPYRIGHT. END OF. STK CEREMONY UP UR RSE 2."

Wow, sounds like he means it.

Theres talks of him being projection footage, with Depeche Mode style screens in the background. The sets will start with Jetstream, which will segue into WIM.
