Hi people - it's been a while since I've been on here but I thought I'd ask a question to see if you guys knew.

On play.com it has a listing for a collectors edition of Substance. Is this really happening or is a listings cock-up? What would make it collectable if it's only 2CDs?

It would be rather nice to get a remastered album with a third disc of the missing tracks plus a few rarities but that doesn't seem very likely unfortunately.

As far as I'm aware there is no collectors edition, other than anyne who collects new order cd's would have it, in which case every cd is! marketing bollocks!

Why not do a Collector's edition on Substance. I know it's not an album and all that but most people probably do consider it one even though they won't admit it. Especially people like me who first heard New Order through Substance and didn't know it was a "singles" album at the time.:banghead:

What's the point exactly?

'Singles' pretty much covers it, plus the extra discs on the album reissues for the B-sides. What will you gain from it that you can't get by buying the current London issue of 'Substance'?

I think everyone, including myself, is hoping that a "Substance" reissue, would have a bonus disc or disc's with not B-sides, but unreleased material! Hooky's tape collection would be a fine place to start looking for some gems! He has gigs and rehearsal material nobody has every heard!

They can replace Temptation and Confusion 87 with their original versions, plus replace blue monday with the '88 version for shits and giggles. While they're at it release a limited vinyl run with pressings ripped from mp3 versions of Recycle.

I hope nobody for London works here, they may actually go through with this.

Defo a listings cock up.

There MAY be plans for other re-mastered albums but most defo not substance.
