No surprises. I had trouble making out what was being said during most of the video clips as the sound was so bad at The Stables.
The sound on the film clips was poor at the Stables but Hooky playing Elegia and The Happy Man was a revelation. He was sat down picking out the notes/chords almost like Vini Reilly. Even Dark Starr sounded good with Howard Marks reciting the lyrics and Hooky prowling behind. The display of Hooky's memorabilia was interesting and some of you will be pleased to know there were Viking badges in the glass cases.

Sorry, meant The Happy One. Thinking of a planning application I have to deal with at a former pub called The Happy Man. Not so happy though as it was burnt down.
no unseen footage from what i could see though it was on a pretty small screen in the corner.stuff like snippets of Brixton 87 vid, Transmission on Something Else, Celebration 81.. Not sure i could place the extended bits where Hooky and Steve were talking to Zane Lowe, don't recall seeing that before.It wasn't the Gonzo thing New Order did with Lowe when Siren's Call came out
I don't know where to post this, but there's an interview from Hooky about the spoken word tour. (It doesn't answer the question in the first post, though.)
He says about the tour:
“Our audience have grown up, now they’re 40-60, they don’t want to go to gigs and watch a DJ, but they would go to a spoken word tour. As I get older, I’ve enjoyed seeing people like Ray Davies of The Kinks do spoken word stuff, so I sat down and thought about it. “And I thought I’d take an old friend along to take some of the pain out of it, but Howard’s more nervous than me!” he laughs.
