Have you got the video of the reading gig mate? The mid section is well funky - never to repeated neither :(

you guys are referring to good midsong breakdowns right?? wouldnt the granddaddy of them all have to be the extended video version of The Perfect Kiss? i love it when hooky picks up the drum sticks, slyly places his pick in his mouth and starts goin at it on the synth drums!!! A more recent fav would have to be the whole keyboard solo midsection in Primitive Notion. Always gives me chills and a smile....

For a moment I thought the original point of this thread was of a psychelogical context: i.e. which band member suffered the biggest breakdown in the middle of a NEw Order song..... hic hic!

I have to agree on the one in Vanishing Point in particular though - that is such a lovely well-crafted piece of music isn't it? But doesn't anyone like the one on Fine Time - album version ? I think thats just as great!

Agree with Perfect Kiss, but another mid-song breakdown is in Run - sends shivers down the spine, that one CTB

Does The Him count as it completely stops in the middle and when they played it live Barney always had to shout 'Shhhhh !' at the audience when they started to applaud.
