Peter Hook has admitted he is racking up his phone bill - by voting for Shaun Ryder in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
The New Order musician is backing his fellow Mancunian to take part in the bushtucker trials on the ITV show.
"The phone was red hot as I voted for him to take part in that trial - it's costing me a fortune!" he admitted.
Peter, who will be running the Great Manchester Run next year, reckons Shaun hasn't done himself any harm by appearing on the programme.
"He's doing good. I hope he does as Bez did with Celebrity Big Brother and he pulls it off. I think he has come across really well so far. It's early days yet - they tend to crack around days four and five - but it's enjoyable and I love seeing him there," he said.
"I love seeing his Manc. He's a proper Manc and you cannot doubt that. He's flying the flag for Manchester and I'm right behind him."
Peter revealed he turned down Celebrity Big Brother, only to hand the opportunity over to Happy Mondays' Mark 'Bez' Berry.
"I got offered Celebrity Big Brother and I passed it onto Bez because I couldn't do it at the time," he said.
"He made a fortune off it. Lost it all to the taxman, but he did good. I haven't been offered this ."
