Ministry of Sound Electronic 80's

Apologies if this has been mentioned already,doesn't ring a bell if it has to be honest,but what is the edit of Blue Monday that is on this cd? It's not just a short version of the 12",but an actual edit,which is very apparent after the last verse,is just about 5mins long,and apart from the 'Top of the Pops' ending which they played live a few times and would love to have an actual studio edit with this ending,is a cracking,radio alternative to the full 12" version IMO....?

It's just a butchered version that MOS chopped down and someone should be shot for it IMHO. :)

well not sure if the tag 'blood sucking compilation' applies to CREAM but I remember treating one of the CREAM compilation CD set I have back in the 90s as 'precious' as it was the only place one could find the Tall Paul's Eschreamer Dub of True Faith.....only snippets of it which was rare as hell but of course sounds like shite as well :D

I've bought neither this nor the first Electric '80's CD package (simply because there's nothing on there that I haven't heard a thousand times before), but the then-Virgin Radio has used an edited version of the 1983 Blue Monday from 1999 onwards.

I've just looked at the tracklisting and I can only see True Faith quoted?!?

Anyway, you could probably get most of these tracks on far cheaper compilation CDs in the sales after Christmas. Plus: any CD with Don't You Want Me at the beginning and Welcome To The Pleasuredome at the end - instead of vice versa - need not be played from start to finish.
