:scream: Can we expect to see anything similar with regards to New Order in the future?

SM: Funny you should say that - yes, we are thinking of doing a complete New Order singles boxset. I still like the idea of doing just an empty box (a really nice empty box of course) and putting out absolutely everything as a series of records/CDs/downloads that you could choose to customise your box with. That's my Pick and Mix idea - probably extremely expensive and a bit mad really. One of the problems that I find with box sets generally is that no matter what you do there is always something missing; leaving the final selection to the listener might get round that.

A New Order singles box should be as comprehensive as possible, but done in a way that is still listenable. It's going to be quite a challenge but hopefully a lot of fun. It's something that will take a lot of thought.

I guess we'll see how badly they muck up the New Order singles box set. The Joy Division/New Order back catalog is becoming one of the worst managed ones in pop music.

If any band members are reading this - PLEASE just replicate the tracklistings from the "Recycle" blog on a box with 20 CD singles!!! That's all the Factory and Factory Benelux singles "Ceremony" through "World in Motion." If you need to make it two boxes, each with 10 discs, that's fine. If you want to add in the Hacienda Xmas flexi in there somewhere, that'd be nice too, but more of a nice-to-have.

A box set of NO singles? Huh? Wasn't this the original plan in '98 - there was even a Recycle T-shirt available at the gigs - but it was dumped for 'not making financial sense'? And excuse me but http://neworder-recycle.blogspot.com/... Majors, hang your collective your heads in shame!
