I'm willing to back up your thoughts on Saving Private Ryan. A classic war movie, violent in the extreme, yet emotive and thought provoking. I always cry at the end. The last two SW episodes however were extremely average films at best, saved only by special effects. Best recent film for me, Lord of the Rings. Can't wait for part two.

Based on your recommendation, H, Attack of the Clowns and Saving Somebody or Other will go to the top of my list.

I definitely agree that there aren't that many good movies, certainly not many I'd want to see more than once.

Thanks for the half-baked back up on the film reccs. Sir Muffy of Beast Land. Yet again the movie about Clowns hits another wall. I liked and enjoyed it thoroughly - I wasn't even under the influence of narcotics. I should revisit the film soon to check for obvious faults.

Lord of the Pringles (©2002 Patty Inc.) was excellent I do agree and is one of the best films for a long while, I do hope the next saga is as well crafted.

P put Ryan at the top of your weekend agenda if you can crowbar enough time between water skiing and Cantonese classes. As Muff so eloquently put it, it is a moving event ... and, I do find a tear duct or three willing to part towards the later segments.

When Muffy and Huntsman agree, that is where truth must be. Shaving Private Ryan it is!

However, keep in mind that the MTV Video Music Awards are tonight, and presumably repeated throughout the weekend, so my time may be committed.

can i disagree & say that minority report is the best SF film of the year? ta. aotc was saved by some pretty special effects but the story wasnt that involving to me, mr lucas still doesnt develop his female characters enough & the dialogue, mock it i must!

H bomb ... please expand on your knowledge of the report. I have urged several friends and family members in the direction of Mr. Cruise' latest adventure and nobody seems willing. I insist it will be good and people say no it won't. A pal of mine who has seen it states 'it's alright, it's a bit like MI2' which I ignored because MI2 was cack-a-doodle-do.

i have pondered upon all of the afore mentioned issues for some time now.

*barneys lyrics are barney's lyrics and we should know better than to analyse them too much as it leads to further confusion. for what it's worth, the knight of ni an spotnik are probably right. *the term pussy comes from the french for fish, apparently, so references to 'love juices' are likely to be way off track. *bees are indeed very important *all star wars films are good, even episode 1, but then again i'm known for my ability to watch any old shite and enjoy it (except sport).
