I am concerned about Rowetta singing New Dawn Fades. It doesnt sound great in my head. I hope Im wrong, I often am anyway.

Have you not heard the live version yet? It sounds really good. So too does Insight.
Everybody else was scared of internet criticism. I wanted this project to happen and i know the people involved. Peter Hook is one of Joy Division. To hear these songs live is a blessing to me, as a fan. This was my best performance of NDF, imo. Singing in front of fans of other, in my opinion, lesser bands, Fair enough if you don't like it. The internet gives you a voice, but believe me, when we play it live, there is something special. Peace x

Rowetta, you guys did an amazing job with the EP. Of course those songs are sacred to us Joy Division fans, but what you guys were able to do with their re-recording was special.
Great gig tonight (last night). Highlights for me were, A Means To An End, Heart And Soul, Ice Age, These Days and Warsaw.

Was great hearing Ice Age live, really did not expect that one.
Other highlights for me were These Days, Dead Souls & Heart and Soul.
Rowetta gave justice to the songs of Joy Division and gave them her own style, but pulled it off.
Was with her for a while after the gig as well, really nice woman.
Hooky self-admittedly fluffed a few of the words but I didn't really notice and there was a great energy in the crowd with some intense 'pitting' for the last half of the set
Hookys voice was better suited to the unknown pleasures gigs, on closer Ians voice had realy grown.more depth more emotion.that said the music last night was spot on , playing closer in a small venue was always a gamble , it worked big time , the only let down was dead souls which was ok but not right on , my expectations probably.
Rowenta gave justice to colony, sang her heart into and out off it, Atmosphere was lovely and the special treat of hearing 24 hours live was very emontional given in 1980 when i bought the album the name joy division was already on the way out. made it to the front at the end, dam good, got the set list which included pictures,, only left it at me mums in cheshire dam dam.
hope he goes on tour with it as it is monumental and thanks to Joy division.
a moment so moving goes straight to the heart
Sounds like a terrific show! I hope "Closer" is brought to NYC! Really loved "Unknown Pleasures" last year :)
Interesting that "From Safety To Where" was played. Apparently Joy Division never played it live - the nearestthey got to it was when Hooky played the bass line in soundchecks (as filmed on "Here Are The Young Men").

Also found LWTUA.
Went to the Wed 18th gig, incredible night, Hooky jack and the boys (and girl) got it bang on, I cannot beleive how good this was, great crowd everybody up for it. Only down side was that I could not get closer to the front. When you actually go to one of these nights you realise Mr Hook is right to do this kind of thing. Theres no doub about it that his voice is more suited to Joy Division than Barneys. Missed the Unknown Pleasures gig last year so really pleased I made it to this one. If you go to one of these future shows you will noy be disappointed.
