Or does anyone have problems with posting these days on the site?

Error 500, timeouts, etc?

Seems that happens since the search engine is active...

Yesterday I got some timeouts and an error 500 as well. This can explain why the counter on that Elvis thread doesn't match the actual number of replies. :computer2:

A couple of times lately, after I'd hit the Submit Reply button, it took forever to get through.

Nope :nonono: . The counter on the Elvis thread comes from Elvis' trials to post a reply. Unfortunately, messages by ghosts are as invisible as their authors... hence the truth will remain unrevealed :D

Site is generally slower, but not by much. Occasional errors when posting - other than that, everything seems fine.

the search function ALWAYS returns a " http 500 internal server error " too but seems to work when f5 is pressed straight afterwards

Ok, I have disabled the search engine for a moment, I will hunt down the sources of those "problem"...

It'll come, there is a lot of optimisation to do in that code!

I have removed the last message poster, I will enhance that function soon, to be quicker, those pages load a LOT quicker now!

Not sure the search engine was the problem... the host probably fixed the problem, and I also did things to speed it up.

But after removing the seach engine, the results where the same

User error - site works great - time to read the manual I guess.
