Bernard Sumner and Steve Morris talked to John Kennedy for an Xposure Playback. They discussed the uncomfortable atmosphere during the making of 'Atmosphere', the New Order Singer Contest, having all their equipment nicked on the first US tour and Club 18-30's special trips to see the band recording 'Technique' in Ibiza. It's a revelation. Listen to the entire interview below.

Great interview! Barney and Steve on top form and for once an interviewer who asks interesting questions rather than the same old same old.

His memory may be failing in other areas but Barney really knows his technology doesn't he? He should write a book about it, it'd be fascinating

Yes a great interview indeed, lots of malarky and antidotes. I must have missed the segment on technology though. Although when Maloney(??) mentioned Warsaw and Stiff Kittens, there was no objection from Barney or Steve about the names. lol

Doh that was the BBC radio 6 interview. God theres more interviews this week than in last ten years. lol. i got confused.

I'm sure Steve did a really interesting technology based interview recently, can't remember what it was for now, anyone?

Out of the radio 6, BBC breakfast and xfm recent interviews this is the best I've heard. Very insighful about recording techniques and info on tracks. But there's not much about TPK to TF era and nothing post WIM.

Is the 7 interview segments not the whole interview I wonder?
