I was wondering if anyone else has yet to receive their Total Deluxe Edition, I ordered mine a few days after it was released and still nothing in the post..
Has Anyone Still Not Received Their Deluxe Edition?

I have got an email from Warner yesterday.
I can confirm that we have received your order but unfortunately an item in your order Total Shirt is out of stock which has caused a delay in getting the item out to you. Due to the lag in time between an order being placed on the site and the items being marked for dispatch at the warehouse (which updates the stock amount available to order on the store), occasionally orders can be taken on the store when no stock is available to process your order immediately - we have to order more stock from a supplier before we can send it to you. Unfortunately in this case we have been checking with the supplier to try and get hold of more stock for you but I’m afraid they have confirmed this is a discontinued line and we won’t be able to get any more stock of this item. I’m extremely sorry about this and that it’s taken so long to let you know, but we were still trying find some stock for you and waiting for answers from the supplier. We have arranged a refund for this item, and we will dispatch the remaining order to you ASAP. Once again please accept our sincere apologies about this – I appreciate its pretty frustrating. Please let me know how you would like to proceed and I’ll get it sorted for you ASAP.
My answer:
Thx for the Information. It's no problem for me. I can wait.
So there's an actual physical release of the deluxe edition is there? I have been on to Rhino.co.uk but can only see Total listed as mp3. Am I missing something obvious? Or was it a 1st week only jobby?
I think everyoneverywhere means the CD + Tshirt bundle. The "Deluxe Edition" as available on sites like iTunes is digital only. The "Deluxe" bit being you could download the videos as well as the audio.
I haven't bought the iTunes Edition (and have no plans to) but on first glance the video content looks identical to what's on 'A Collection' so if you have that, there's not much point in paying the extra cash. Well, for the Joy Division videos I suppose but you'll hardly be getting them in pure DVD quality. If they had been in full quality then I maybe would have bought it.
I see some of the CD + Tshirt bundles are going for silly money on Ebay right now. I'm sorely tempted to get rid of mine too but we'll see how the value goes up or down in the next few months. I would keep those Tshirts unopened folks...
aha thanks, that clarifies it. You must have edited your own post Mr 586. It reads differently now than it did when it first appeared.
I can't help thinking that buying the t-shirt on it's own might be an option. grooves-inc.co.uk appear to be stocking it. The little code next to the picture says "T- Shirt Rhino", which makes me think it's the same shirt.

Or perhaps the Deluxe t-shirts were mistakenly sent to customers ordering the Standard edition?

Sounds as though they've run out of stock (wasn't it limited to 300)? ![]()

Well as per my post above, you can buy the T-Shirt for £15 from here: http://www.grooves-inc.co.uk/new-order-joy-division-total-shirt-rhino-shirt-pZZa1-1862694326.html And i guess you can get the CD for about £8. Job Done. The question I have is: If Grooves Inc have got the Rhino shirts, why dont Rhino? Did Rhino off-load them before fullfilling the orders of say Mr everyoneverywhere?
So, hang on a sec, you mean that there are plenty of t-shirts still for sale and (obviously) plenty of CD copies of Total, yet there were only 300 "Limited Edition" sets of both of them (which was just the t-shirt bundled with the standard CD at a slightly lower price)?
Fantastic! ![]()
One of them has just sold on Ebay for 50 quid! ![]()

Hi Mike,
Many thanks for your email.
I can confirm that we have received your order but unfortunately we are still awaiting more stock of the item
1x JOY DIVISION CD Album
from the supplier. In this case unfortunately there appears to have been a delay from the manufacturer for this item which is holding up the dispatch of your order. We are very sorry about this.
Please also be advised of our approximate delivery time frames from dispatch:
STANDARD / RECORDED DELIVERY
Europe: 1-7 business days
USA / Canada: 7-21 business days
Rest of World: 7-30 business days
(Business day = Monday – Friday)
EXPRESS (COURIER) DELIVERY
UK: Within 2-3 business days
Europe: Within 1-3 business days
Rest Of World: 7-10 business days
(Business day = Monday – Friday)
Sincere apologies once again for this delay; unfortunately it is largely out of our hands. But we will do all we can to get you your missing order ASAP.
Thanks and kind regards
Sarah

Warner has sent my money back. So It's finished for them. I am not going to sue them. So it's finished for me, too.

Running out of stock of their own CD? Produced by their own company? It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. It's obvious when it comes to New Order that the record label is running the tightest operation imaginable. Every *single* JDNO release over the past 6 years has been fucked up in some way. Even the differing Joy Division vinyl box-set editions were sent to the wrong buyers ruining what would have been the first reissue for them to get "technically" right since forever.
Have they got a 13 year old on work experience running the place or something?
As Nick pointed out, can they make up their minds about the Tshirts as well? First those were advertised as a "strictly limited" 250-quantity item posted to people who shelled out extra for the CD and now they're on third party merchandise stores available for anyone to buy.

I think, it was a limited package with a special price. If you buy the cd and the T-shirt seperate it's a little bit more expensive. But if you can buy the cd for 3 quid and the T-shirt for 10 quid in half a year it's better to wait now.
Ah, so the "bundle" was limited to 250? Or the Tshirts were limited 250? It's open to interpretation but you were certainly given the impression on Facebook at least that the Tshirts were the limited item.
Was a bit surprised to then see them freely for sale elsewhere.
Bundle "was" supposedly limited to 300 as per the Rhino webshite. Just Looked back to the link i posted on Facebook and the bundle was only available to pre-order via rhino and was limited to 300.
Hope this helps ![]()

Obviously it was limited 75 items T-Shirt Size S, M, L, XL each. Now they have only M in stock and not sold totally 300. The problem was according to their emails not the limitation. It was they couldn't get new T-Shirts. The question is why you could order any items, got a confirmation and then an email they can't deliver. It is really bad organisation, isn't it?

Nobby, they are really rubbish quality so dont feel too down about not getting one! They honestly look as if the printing will fade after one wash!

I'm just surprised that Rhino haven't brought out a special "Gullible Edition" of this bloody pointless release.

Thx, Steve. Your support makes my life easier. But You're the only person, I know, who washes his cds in a machine. :D

Did you ask for that, or did they just do it? No payments in my bank yet and from the tone of their E-Mail they seem to think I will get it...
One day and it won't be long...

No, I didn't ask for it. I wrote them, I would have time. They should sent me the stuff, if available.
I just ordered a regular CD edition through Amazon.
BTW, I always wondered if there is a way to print just one t-shirt with your own design?

There are places where you can do that, some shops and websites but for just one shirt you are looking at £15 - £20.. most of them will not make one though if the image/design is copyright...
I'm away next month and could do with some money. Debating whether or not to ask for a refund..
Totally bizarre that, if there are still t-shirts available to buy, how on earth they could fail to meet your order? ![]()
Anyway, the "bundle" would have been the CD and t-shirt for a cheaper price than buying them seperately... If you still want a t-shirt, Norbert, you can have mine (it's XL) - it's still wrapped! :)

No, thx, Nick. I have finished with it. By the way I would prefer XXL to XL after one wash. :)
Nothing arrived here yet though I had bought it 30 days ago. ![]()
Fook off Mike, don't blame the postman this time again

It came at last on Thursday 7 July
Who do Warner think they are? Peter flippin' Saville?
I do however, like the T-shirt a lot. ![]()
