Yes, you've all seen it.

But whose idea/decision was it to stop comments being added? Cant say I'm surprised really, especially when its THIS bad.

Sorry, while i'm on the subject. I just realised, if Hooky is thinking of covering any NO stuff, the drummer is going to have a bit of a job, Chosen Time and Age Of Consent spring to mind. I think it's doubtful though, i really can't see the light getting to grips with EGG for example. Don't want to sound mean, i think Hooky is great, just wish he'd stop this nonsense and do something new.

Hooky - "my god, its like my life is going backwards instead of forwards, thank god"

come off it Peter, write some new tunes with the light and record them with the band. We have all the JD stuff, its already been recorded!

Sorry to go on but isn't all this really obvious!!

To be honest Liam I really don't give a toss what you think, I've been kinda waiting for a thread like this from you for a while, change the fucking record already will you. Does it not ever get boring being such a negative, boring wind-up merchant all your life? To answer your original question, comments are disabled because YouTube comments sections really are the dustbin of the internet.

I don't even know why I'm bothering biting at this to be honest. You've made it pretty clear since before this whole thing even started that you weren't behind it, and fair enough that is your choice, but at the end of the day all I care about is the fact that tens of thousands of people literally ALL around the world completely disagree with you, as has been proven, and while that carries on, so will we, so deal with it.

The fact that you found it bad enough to come on here and make a stupid thread telling strangers about it on an internet forum just makes it all the more worthwhile. We're all hard behind keyboards aren't we, what happened to that guy that came up to me after the Hard Rock cafe gig back in 2007 and told me how much he had enjoyed it and wished us luck for the future? If you don't like it, fine, don't listen, none of us are bothered. See ya.

See ya.

You do realise that you just insulted a large proportion of your fanbase?

Yes, you probably will see me. Probably after Christmas but before New Year when I'm really bored during the Holidays.

Ta Ta for now.

I'll bet he's devastated.

Hey Mr Leadfoot, i was in no way being negative about your skills, from what i've heard you're doing a very good job!

To be fair to Liam, if you've been a fan of New Order & joy Division for a long time, and you have a strong attachment to certain songs it can seem strange hearing it done quite differently, especially considering Ro's vocal style, but The light are not trying to sound like Joy Division, yes they're playing their songs and Hooky is the main man in the band, but it's a new interpretation on the music, some don't like it, a lot of people do, each to their own.

He's entitled to an opinion and entitled to air his views, I just can't see why they are always negative. I can understand why comments are disabled on youtube, it's just going to get full of the kind of idiots that stole the headstone from Ians grave or that fascist muppet that ranted about Ian a few years back.

With regard to The Light doing New Order stuff, I say bring it on, I have complete faith in all members of the band being able to cope with that, but I think the vocals would be best suited to Pottsy, with Ro taking Dawn Zee's roll.

Sorry for the long post, and I'll try not to be so polite in future too

didn't say you were, and thank you for the nice compliments, I DO know what we are fucking with in regard to what it means to people, I grew up with this music too, and if we were doing a bad job of it, I would quit, no question. I am of the opinion that this music should not be put in a box to rot, it is brilliant music, and I think we do a pretty dam good job of bringing it to the 80 to 90,000 people who have come to see us over the last year, and when they stop coming, then we will stop, or at least I will, but they DON'T. we have loads of gigs up to the end of the year, and more for next year too, and I can't wait. for every nay sayer out there, there are 100 people at these gigs, maybe more, and please don't get me wrong, I AM NOT STEVEN MORRIS, he did far too good a job in the first place for me to be him, there can be only one. but this music is bigger than what we do, we just want to bring it to life as best we can. OLF p.s. Jed...THIS is how to ramble:evil4:

Oh yeah, um sorry, didn't realise the drummer posted here as well, um........

There is nothing overly difficult about New Order songs. It's all in the conviction and feel, that's where it worked for them. 'Age of Consent' is a 2 bar 16th's hi hat beat, with a 4 on the floor kick drum, for about 5 mins. I'm sure Paul can do that with his eyes closed!

I have seen them a few times and it's a great night out. JD will never play together again nor will NO

I was too young to ever see JD but the light have brought a new appreciation of jd for me. So cheers chaps and chill out people they are only playing music, music we love but music, save your energy for the world real villans...bush, cameron murdoch...barney (the purple one that is!!)

Not a huge fan of Rowetta's take on JD, but the simple fact of the matter is The Light seriously rock live! We can argue for years (we WILL argue for years) about the project, but if you want great songs - playing - atmosphere, check out The Light and you won't be disappointed. I saw them in Rome and my wife - completely untainted by the kind of approach we get here - had the time of her life!!! What more do you want from a gig?

First time i've seen that video. I don't mind the song but the video is very boring, abit like that Bad Lieutenant video. The drummer looks like he's about to cry.

Who are the band members in the 'The Light' ?

Sorry, i assume your referring to my first post. I knew the drummer posted here and Jack and i'm sure Hooky reads some of it so no that wasn't the case.

Also Age of Consent is slightly more than what was described, the accented hats are quite essential.

Just wanted to clear that up. Thanks!

Is it baiting to post an opinion that isn't obseqiously positive?

No but some people do it continuously just to wind people up, it gets a bit silly but we all enjoy a bit of a scrap!

Keep it up boys! I think you sound great. And as much as I would love more music out of Mr. Hook and company, I'm not going to piss all over him for touring the JD albums (and hopefully the NO ones). That'd be like me getting angry at my wife during oral sex when she knows I'd prefer some good old fashion intercourse. At the end of the day it all feels good and we'll take what we can get. Or in this case pay for it. ; ) (Sorry i couldn't resist that analogy!)

Time's running out for all of us. Can there be some NEW songs and not new versions of old ones?

I really love the beat to 'Age of Consent', but it's really quite easy!

Ceremony, Dead Souls, Transmission (as examples) are quite a bit more involved, and again Paul is doing a great job on thuse.

The Light should do 'What Do You Want From Me?' as an encore. It'd tear the roof off.

Yeah, fuck it. And record it. Release it as a single with Rowetta singing. And a raft of remixes. And a video on Youtube. With comments blocked. And whatever else they fancy doing that will piss the dismal moaning twats off.
