5- Dissenting again. Tony Wilson is none of them. Certainly not a genius, hardly a poet and not always a twat. However, we would not be listening to New Order without him, that´s for sure, and if only for that he should not be booed out of the stage at NO gigs.

Best Bit - UK Best Of Version Worst Bit - Shep (good sound, just not NO anymore - lost the feeling) Why - love it because of the various sounds and the phasing 90% Tony - don't know enough of him to care

1. Best bit of BLT is the Brotherhood version, though I do really like the remixes on the 12". Love the chorus. Lyrics too.

2. Only thing I don't care for is the keyboard part just before the chorus.

3. Love it cause I still hear it a bit on the radio, without any requests or prompting. Classic track from the 80's.

Don't know Tony personally, but w/out him there is no NO or Factory or etc.... so I'll cut him some slack. The interview that he did w/the NY Rocker back in 81 I think, alongside Geoff Travis, showed me that he was aware that breaking JD and NO wasn't gonna be easy, but he surely seemed up to the task.

Brotherhood was the second ever NewOrder album I got (after Technique) and I have to confess Bizarre Love Triangle stood out a mile above everything else. The album as a whole was very similar to Technique - with guitar songs and dance tracks, but not as strong. I think Bizzarre Love Triangle could have sat quite well on Technique for that reason...

so my preference would be this version of the song. The version on Substance is weaker - goes on a bit. Percentage rating would be 80% Tony wilson - well I think he's done quite a lot for Manchester and North west bands to be honest, but he can be a pretentious bastard at times. He dresses crap most of the time as well! ;)

Best Bit. All of it, the best track ever. Worst Bit. As if. Love Hate. In my humble opinion it's the best song by anyone ever. % Rating 99.5 Tony Wilson. Would there be a NOOL without him? He can't take all the credit I suppose (think Mr Gretton). So he's a genius, but there again remember the handbag? TWAT

1)the melody 2)heard it so many times, i don't even pay attention to it. btw, i think this was the first NO song i heard (or at least cared about) 3) classic new order, as well as classic 80s song. it's virtually on every 80s compilation and played on every 80s night.
4)80% 5)i'm not british nor did i give a damn about factory. TW celebrity has not washed upon our shores...so just to be safe, i'd say he's all of the above.

I always thought it was from a tabloid headline like "vicar caught in bizarre love triangle" but that could of just been Barney bullshitting to the NME as usual.

• "Every time I think of you/I feel shot right through with a bolt of blue"...amazing lyric, proof that Barney, even in his simplicity, could write superb stuff. Although perhaps more by accident than design.

• The 12" remix isn't so hot.

• It's just a really charming song.

You cannot be serious ? Between mid 86 (when they had finished it) and 89 it was one of the highlights of the set !! The recent live version doesn't work as well, but the live Brotherhood version was excellent.
