Great vox late 80's. Ill go for 1963. I really think its one of Barneys best.

True Faith, Bernard's voice is very emotive and he is actually crooning. True Faith is also one of Bernard's best lyrics.

Also...all of Technique, as well as Blue Monday, WFTSC, Spooky, and Crystal.

TBTHOG, purely and simply because of the way Barney sings 'sexual'...

If I have to be serious I would nominate Special. Sublime, cool and even a falsetto bit at the end...

Agreed. Special is my favorite song on Republic.

Vanishing Point lyrics are top notch. Always gives me goosebumps listening to that track and Barney's lyrics are a big part of it.

Leave Me Alone lyrics are great in Barney's own idiosyncratic way.

I also quite like some of the Movement era lyrics. Stuff like Procession, Denial, ICB I think are really good and show you just how much the band were thinking about Ian at that time.

And of course Temptation, True Faith, 1963, are all excellent.

Slow Jam? The best post-1993 lyrics and the vocals are great, kinda remind me of Movement!
