Well, I used True Faith as an example of the sort of songs that are popular. I wasnt being literal. Substitute that for the words "some New Order songs" then. And, look, its fair enough. Its just a couple of gigs, could even be a full tour and its still fair enough that people want to go, enough people go to other diluted bands' gigs. I just thought more people would think New Order without Hooky wasnt New Order, its not like someone from The Killers being replaced.
At the end of the day I'd imagine the people doing these two gigs are, in the main, the same people who did the Gillian-out gigs, and the same people who pre-dated those with the original four-piece gigs.
I haven't seen anyone on here saying, "I would definitely have gone to see this, but I'm not going now because Hooky isn't there." Or if someone has been saying that, I've missed it.
This 'My New Order is better than Your New Order' stuff is a tad lame, especially when I don't think anyone going to these gigs does genuinely see this as the New Order, but a charming hybrid instead, and one which does at least deserve a chance to be heard.
