New Order and The Smiths Live Tribute night @ hmvRitz 25th February 2012

Fellow Manchester party people, come along to the new 2 million pound refurbished hmvRitz to see:

New Order and The Smiths Live Tribute night @ hmvRitz 25th February 2012 Re:Order "...when I listened to RE: Order I thought it was uncannily accurate, which I thought was really weird, that made it really spooky, do you know what I mean? We don't play like that anymore now but they, it was a bit fragile and I thought fook me." Peter Hook interview for NewOrderOnline.

The Smyths "You’ll never see The Smiths again, but The Smyths are the next best thing." (Music-News.com) "Amazing...just like The Smiths" (XFM)

Is it groundhog day?

That's three years on the trot, isn't it? Last weekend in Feb.

This year's event was good from what little I remember, all day drinking is not hard or clever. Fucking great craic though :thumb:

Blimey February is aaaaaaaaages away. But yeah, I think I'll go to this!

I always bugger off when The Smyths play though. Nothing against them but I never got into The Smiths.

Maybe Re:Order followed by Fac251? Sounds gooood.

Did the refurbishment include a new sound system?

Historic Manchester venue The Ritz reopened its doors to a £2 million refurbishment to relaunch the club under the new name of the hmvritz.

Located on the city’s Whitworth Street, the building project has involved the restoration of original architectural features, refurbishment of all areas to a high “as-new” standard of fit and finish, extensive sound-proofing, the installation of state-of-the-art sound and lighting, safety barriers and the addition of a new fire exit. The result will give the hmvritz a saleable capacity up to 1,500.

I'll try my best, I've been meaning to get to see you for a while.

Just an observation, but it's a good job you don't have an actual member of New Order in the band, you'd be accuse of cashing in :evil4:

Re:Order ARE New Order, but with temporary age-reversal cream applied.

They can't be, they don't mime, you know, like New Order didn't use to

be rude not to. they spent most of it on sound deadening to placate the loft-living softies that now surround the gaff. if they hadn't they council was only gonna let them open friday/saturday til midnight.

if you buy a city centre flat, seems a bit rich complaining about the noise from a 90-year old disco next door.
