Well I like them. I think all their albums have been really good. They are also one of those bands that have remained great even after they became 'popular'. I remember listening to their first album 'Parachutes' when they were unknowns. As for Elbow, well they are shite. 'Asleep in the Back' was superb but after that.... Oh dear.

As for U2 I love them too. Bono was a bit of a dick during the 'Achtung' era but so too was Bowie during his 'Ziggy' era. Doesn't alter the fact that great music was being produced. Makes me laugh when people hate artists for being 'popular'. If the music is good who cares? If the music nosedives then fair emuff.

They are just so stultifyingly, paint-strippingly, nun-rapingly, cock-shrinkingly, tit-squashingly BORING!!!!!!

Never really got why people hate artists due to their personality etc. surely it's the music what counts.. ?

For the record I'm not a huge U2 fan, but don't hate them either, they have some decent tracks.

Listening to Joy Division play Erics in 1979, however, puts things into perspective... must have been an exciting time for those in the know.

Coldplay is paradise.

Back in 2005 I played Coldplay on our bus traveling across the state. Everyone including the driver fell asleep. We almost died. Now and then they have a good tune. Fix You was until GLEE stole it a few weeks ago.
