just been on the usual resale websites - ebay has 66 , viagogo 240, seatwave 209.
so thats 20% of the venue is on resale sites (1 in 5 tickets).
makes me so angry that we are being fucked over by online touts or punters trying to make a fast buck.
supply and demand yes but these are tough economic times and we as fans are getting shat on
It is possible that there are multiple adverts for the same ticket. Whatever the case it shouldn't be happening.

There is a good chance the touts have overbought and will be flogging them cheap on the day i suspect. I managed to get three tickets on last UK tour for a fiver each, at last minute.
There are not going to be many that will be able to go there speculatively without a ticket, but i only live ten miles away so what the f___.
The last Tom Waits tour was ticketless. You had to give a name and passport number when ordering each ticket and then you had to show that passport to gain entry. Touting wiped out. Can't be that hard to do.

That would only work in the UK. If you tried to implement in the the USA 50% of the population wouldn't be able to get tickets...

I had to sell 2 tickets at the Wembley Arena gig 2006. The gig was months before sold out. Finally I had to give them away for half of the normal price before the gig. There will be cheap tickets a few days before the gig.

red hot chilli peppers tour next week. you have to present the credit card you bought the tickets with to get in, simple, wipes out half the resale ripoff potential. surely you could sell digital tickets that match person to ticket,scan your i-phone and you're in, is that too hard these days? coupled with decent returns policy would stop all this friday 9:00am shenanigans.

Did Wembley 2006 sell out in 5 minutes? I think not! I was at Noel Gallagher in Edinburgh last week and even 5 mins before show time the cheapest ticket was more than face value.

Supply and demand, well everyone realises now there'll be more gigs eventually and at least a few are going to be in London, so don't buy tickets off touts at silly prices and they're bound to drop, then again one of the most pleasing sights in my musical life was when the touts were begging people to buy U2 (no ill comments there please the're bigger here than any other band could be ever again) tickets on the day of the concert after the second concert was announced. Hahaha I laughed and bought a beer for as much as they were asking for a ticket in front of their sad faces.

There were certainly a lot of cheap tickets around on the day - I seem to remember Burt picked one up for about the same price the venue was charging for a beer... :beer2:

Finally it wasn't sold out. Maybe they had thrown tickets later on the market. But months before it was announced as sold out and you couldn't get tickets for face value. So If anyone hasn't a ticket for troxy yet, I would wait until the last week or before the gig.
For a big venue or a stadium it wouldn't be unusual to release tickets in several batches, so that the first and largest batch is sold out a while before the gig but a smaller batch is released shortly before the gig and another small batch on the day of the gig.

I didnt think it was sold out at all. They kept having to re-advertise it in the Standard if i remember, and i thought the partition put up at the back was to hide empty seats. Cost me £5 outside at 8.50.

I tried to get tickets from ENTS but they went so damn quick I didn't get a chance. Got them off via gogo but more expensive unfortunately.
