No, it's definitely to do with one (ex-)member of the band.

Well the seller looks legit. Is he banking on receiving this himself in the first week of 2012? Who's gonna cough up 36 dollars and let us know how it worked out then? Or $32.91 Canadian here?

Must surely be only a matter of time before there's a torrent knocking about:lol: Maybe it's out there already?

That's right. I wouldn't be surprised if someone upload this on the web before its official release :hat:

As the promos are not going to be pressed until well into next year then i cant see any torrents happening.

The promos for total were only out to selected press 2 and a half weeks before the release and even then there werent that many issued.

sorry to piss on your chips Julio.

I don't think they will promo this, nor release it in Jan 2012.

Johnny Giles wrote: New Order have known since the summer that Lost Sirens was set for release, its been more at the record co end that matters have been delayed. So they're doing a few gigs to get back into things knowing that they've got new material around the corner which I'm sure we'll see them promote next year. Fine. And 4 of the 5 musicians are fulfilling the role they've always had since they've been in NO including the singer which is essential for it to sound 'right'. And as Bernard and Phil have spent ages in the studio over the last 4 years they are very much a living musical project. As a concept this authentic.

Contrast that with playing the songs of a band that ceased to exist over 30 years ago so new material isn't possible. Just 1 of the 4 members is involved and as he has to sing he barely does the job he became famous for. And he takes every opportunity to wildly criticise his old band mates in the media This would become no more cabaret if Don Estelle joined them on the maracas.

WISE WORDS If these are equally suspect our worlds spin on different axes.

Definately NOT Jan 12,nor will there be many promos available. The ones that are available will only be given out to "selected" press etc and there will only be a couple of hundred issued if that.

The rest will be sent mp3's.

Two years down the line there wont be any promo cdrs to speak of.

Listen t me i know what i'm saying........

I haven't read all the posts regarding this, have I missed some REAL evidence about this, it all seems to be speculation?

Depends on interpretation lad,and of course the source of said rumour.

Theres a lot of speculation and conjecture and rumour mongering from people that have nothing better to do with their time.

It will be out sometime next year, that was what i was told the "official" line was!

Hope this helps :thumb:

Cheers mate, so it's just bitching and whinging with no real information, you think we'd be used to new order products being delayed without having to start blaming people, it's a good job NOOL wasn't around n the factory days, everyone down to the cat would have been blamed for the delays

My take is that J James here & J Giles here are not the type of people to write this sort of stuff without being sure of their information. It's not their style. Speaking personally from past performance, if they say it then I'll tend to believe it because their credentials have been proven time and again on these forums in the past.

I've not seen any empirical evidence either but you've got to admit it sounds plausible given recent interviews  I've got an open mind though, if someone from either the NO Ltd side or Hook side categorically denies he is the reason for the Lost Sirens delay it then that's good enough for me.

I don't mind waiting (have waited this long) but I do wish they would stop fucking around and give us a concrete release date.

It has been 81 days in the top 100 on amazon.co.uk, pretty impressive with no campaign or a single being released. Out of the top 100 it has been in the top 20 for a long time also.

^^Especially impressive since it was delayed and now has no firm release date.

That's what I call true faith.

From the latest Aussie interview:

A new, old New Order album is limbo. Lost Sirens is unreleased material from 2005's Waiting for the Siren's Call. It was due out last year.

"We've all OK'd it - it's ready to go," Sumner says. "But one member of the band is holding back the reins. Use your imagination."

Peter will relent and it will come out eventually but it sure won't be next month! I'll place my preorder when all parties have finally agreed.

Is this still getting released in two weeks? Have any promo copies or samples been released yet?

Not much promotion going on for it, thought they might have played a few new tracks on the current tour.
