Been to see Adam Ant there on Sunday (me and my mates)and we had a look around inside - it doesn't look that small venue. Quite nice - new looking art deco style.

The toilets are not big enough tho - even the boys must queue! Some of them nearly had a fight in there apparently..

You have to queue at the bar as well but that is like everywhere - the drinks are not too expensive but they serve it in smaller glasses tho..

I don't know about the carpet.. with all those Vikings... ;) No chewing gum allowed!

They don't let you go up and down the stairs it looks like so if you are seated upstairs you can't go downstairs which is a pain for some I guess..

The sound system was good from we were standing so that's good.

Anyway, I can't wait to see New Order Now! - it should be very good indeed :) Mr Bernard Sumner never disappoints me anyway :) :thumb:

Shouldn't that be 'went' to see Adam Ant... or 'new looking art deco style'...thats because it original 30's deco style. 'You have to queue at the bar as well'.. when don't you have to... 'The drinks are too not expensive but they serve it in smaller glasses'... fcuked then when i order a pint. 'They don't let you go up & down the stairs.' Thats because of different prices and ne one bothers in the seats unless their taking their bird (Hibster n Al) not 'ardcore Unc. John n Loz.

Yes i know...cheeky twat, however, i must commend you on seeing Mr Goddard... im a huge fan of the early Ants.. Dirk Sox, Whip in Valise etc..

Jeez you'd be stuffed if you ever got John Motson's job Mr Sayer. You'd never get a full sentence out of of a footballer/manager without interrupting them to correct their grammer; "Shouldn't that be 'the boy DID well' Mr Redknapp?"

Yeah, it's not a bad venue at all. Seen quite a few bands there over the last few years - Pixies, Flaming Lips, Morrissey. Guess it holds about 2,000 - so similar in size to the Forum or Shepherd's Bush Empire. It's a bit like an old style theatre or music hall - and yes, carpets! Bit of a grotty area. Would normally get there on the DLR to Limehouse (altho it probably won't be running if it's the weekend!). The Railway by the station is the obvious boozer.

Fcuk the carpet, I'm more concerned about the lack of toilet cisterns.

And, Mr Sayer, what? I'm standing, natch.

A mate of mine went to the Leamington Spa gig the other week, reckons one of those birds is Andrew Sachs' daughter( of the Ross/ Brand "Sachsgate") apparently
