Found a improvement on Hooky's voice

Well... Hooky plays a Chris Eccleshall 4 string bass, that red model is called "Viking 1", I think. Jack is playing Yamaha BB1200 bass, that is the same bass guitar Hooky used to play in studio with New Order. Once I heard (but I don't remember where or when) Hooky's old Eccleshall basses (the black ones that we see in many New Order videos) had the same electronics from BB1200. The amplifiers set and the rest of his gear I don't know.

Could anyone tell what is Hooky's/Jack's setup? I have a Clone Theory and it doesn't sound that good.

Do you have a new Clone theory or a vintage one? you need the vintage to get that sound, also try a bit of distortion before the clone, works for me.

I think the new red eccleshall has different electronics, I read an interview where Chris said Yamaha had sent some of their trainees to see him and one of them designed a new board for him as the bb1200 is board is hard to get hold of.

You can buy the eccleshall for £3500 but it will take about a year, you do get a nice flight case with it though!

I've already tried to contact Eccleshall through his website but no luck so far. I suppose he doesn't make left-handed versions anyway

I have the new Clone Theory and a Boss CE; it sounds similar when I use both, but still not the same. I'll try to find a vintage one, thanks Jed.
