it would have showed a different side to neworder and made for an interesting package of remixes....
Turn My Way
Because it would have put New Order back on the north american commercial scene + it's too good of a track to keep it away from a wide audience.

Turn my way as well. Even the video could have been great, having Billy sing with band. MTV would have played it.
Blue Monday would have made a good single ;)
No, seriously, Turn My Way would have been a better choice than 60mph. I still wouldn't have bought it, but it would have shut the Septics up for a bit as they all got to sit around MTV with the Kleenex out ! :D
Personal choice would have been Age of Consent. The title alone would have ensured airplay !
"Someone like you" had lots of potential.
Generally speaking I would have loved to see more singles off Get Ready. Possibly "Turn my feet" for the American market and "Vicious streak". Even "Primitive notion" would have made a cracking single.
Then again if the label did not want to have more singles, who are we to criticise their decisions, they know their stuff, are marketing experts, nay, geniouses and love and respect New Order as much as any fan. Massive respect for London and Warners. Oi!
How mystifying is it that everyone nominates the obvious potential hit singles whilst NO consistently elect to release the non-commercial songs?
Tune My Fork (wide appeal), Primitive Nosebag (good choice to show NO do in fact rock backside), Someone Live Geoff Klumpy (a slight enhancement, perhaps stronger drums and tighter format).
Vicious Street, RTS'house, Jam Butty, Run 3 all album tracks. All glorious album tracks.

As is KW1. But I'm happy they never released material from their first two albums as singles, and I regret they did it for the next albums. I miss this duality between albums and (maxi) singles.
Close Range. Let's give credit where credit is due. One of the most underrated NO songs (well, I never saw any of you post anything about it...) and an absolutely barnstorming tune!
George I concur. And it has been stated (however in few numbers) that Closet Wrangler is indeed a barnstormer.
Of note, Close Peg was an outstanding live track (one of only few) from the gigs last year.
It rocked my sock off.
1963 - Because that was back when a 12" single usually contained a good remix or extended version.
Dream Attack or Vanishing Point - Same reason as above and either would have been much better than Fine Time (To Release a Bad Single).
Primitive Notion or Close Range - Because these are strong NO tracks that are quite fresh, but still remind us of "yesteryear." (Still think Primitive Notion would have sounded great live).

Indeed, and the Radio1 sessions version is absolutely excellent! the best version available of it imo :D

Have to aggree with you, except for the BBC recording which is briliant, imo.
I'm sure it was Briggs who agreed with me on the occasion I referred to that line. Do you want to bet on it?
