So this guy in Montreal kills a guy, mails the victims body parts to politicians and filmed the whole thing and it is on the internet. Oddly enough, New Order was the soundtrack to the murder.

"The video was posted May 25 to a Canada-based website that deals with death and gore.

It shows the perpetrator repeatedly stabbing then dismembering the victim. It also appears to depict cannibalism and sexual defiling of the body.

In the background is the song “True Faith” by New Order, notable for its presence in the film American Psycho."

The story is so crazy it sounds like a badly written b movie for one of those niche tv channels like the Horror channel or something. Perhaps True Faith will become the new Helter Skelter.

Has anyone here seen the original video? I can't help thinking that the TF part of the story may have been fabricated by tabloid media so that it will have more of a parrallel with American Psycho.

I wonder if my question above will land me in hot water...Or just prompt some sarcastic replies.

Bounties were on that cunt from several animal wellfare organizations I know of for some time. Also goes to show don't give songs as movie soundtracks.

Well he's been collared in Berlin, I guess he won't be feeling a "sudden sense of Liberty" at the moment...

From my memory of the film - and I've not seen it for about 10 years - if the press were going to "make up" a song he was listening to whilst doing some butchering I bet they would choose Phil Collins' solo stuff over New Order any day. True Faith had about a 20 second nightclub segment during a scene which had nothing to do with murder. In fact, I seem to remember before Bateman took an axe to one of this victims he was discussing the merits of Phil C's solo career in far greater depth than was healthy.

By the end of hearing that much detail spoken about PC's solo career I was hoping someone would take an axe to er...

Weird one though, without a doubt.

I suppose the lyrics "Now that we've grown up together, they're afraid of what they see" might have some relevance..

Was bored on the bus yesterday and looking at Barney's Twitter account; he's never tweeted. I came across this guy amongst Barney's followers though (he's also following Hooky): https://twitter.com/Magnotta1963 Not sure it's real though, as Magnotta was arrested on 4th June, and these tweets are mostly around the 7th...
