the lost sirens

Easy answer is, get some music gear and make your own, you're much more likely to hear something that way.
When the current touring of the parties involved runs out of gas and they say "what the fuck, maybe this will get us some cash" then maybe, just maybe it will be released.
I find that these days, I don't give a fuck about when or even if Lost Sirens is to be released.
I refuse to hang on the disagreeable and petulant whims of Peter Hook and his ill conceived legal shenanigans.
"Airbrushing Joy Division out of history." What a fucking stupid thing to say.
Still, it's the Hac's 2nd 30th party tonight...

Pick out a couple of your least favourite WFTSC songs and just play them on a loop, its bound to be the same result.

Thank you for the link - such an in-depth, incisive and detailed analysis of every aspect of New Order and their history. This journalist clearly knows his stuff, having spent long and fruitful hours absorbing, evaluating and reassessing the band so as to produce this witty, ground-breaking and stunning read. Lost Sirens will be out by Wednesday.

This
As ive said elsewhere,'WFTSC' is hardly the best album in the world and this is the stuff that didnt make it on to it...
..oh... and then theres 'Hellbent' ![]()
Maybe they didn't have a new pic to use? ![]()
It's called GOOGLE IMAGE SEARCH.
Perhaps they have Kathy Lee Gifford doing research (Martin Short reference from last week)
I remain optimistic there may be some good tracks unheard.
For example, what about these tracks which didn't make it onto their albums...
Sabotage Player In The League Vicious Circle MTO
Better than some of the cuts which made it onto their prospective albums.

I don't agree with any of those examples. But am nonetheless hopeful that there could be something decent on LS. I don't believe anyone in the band has stated that the Lost Sirens tracks are all tunes that didnt make the cut for WFTSC. The band has however said that they had continued to record more stuff for another album to follow up WFTSC. Maybe there's a gem in there, maybe there isn't. Hope springs eternal.

According to the profile, he works at the record company.

You were aware of this four days ago LG? Very restrained of you not to mention on NOOL til now... We dont all follow you on Twitter. So he's the Marketing manager for The Smiths, New Order, Joy Division, Happy Mondays at Warner. Presumably he knows when he has to keep his mouth shut and when he doesn't have to...

Yes. I 'retweeted' it 4 days ago, but I wasn't sure if I should mention it here. I sometimes 'retweet' other people's tweets that are interesting to me...but I just thought "Well, he works at the record company so it's natural he might have the opportunity to listen to it".

Simple fact is that when they began writing songs for WFTSC, they started working with a number of producers, and ended up with 18 songs. Some were done with Stuart Price, some with Brian Higgins. They decided to separate them out into two albums, with a plan to record a couple more. Obviously the future recording got shelved in 06. The Brian Higgins tracks have yet to be released, we've heard Sister and Brother, or whatever they decided to call it, and the band were very pleased with Sugarcane, but gawd knows when we'll get to hear the whole thing.
At last it may get a release. I for one am looking forward to it, it is after all New Order music I have not heard. And new order have NEVER done a record with nothing any good on it. WFTSC had Krafty, Turn, WFTSC all in my opinion top class New Order, so there will be a couple of great tracks on this one...TRUST ME, i think..........
It took me months to realize there is already a (good) Monaco track called I've Got A Feeling
1 I’ll Stay with You
2 Sugarcane
3 Recoil
4 Californian Grass
5 Hellbent
6 Shake It Up
7 I’ve Got A Feeling
8 I Told You So

I had a chat with Gary in Glasgow when NO came up to play a few months ago. Nice bloke.
He went on to say that he was involved with the Lost Sirens project and hopefully it would come out soon. He was also involved with the Total album and the recent Smiths box set. I believe he reads this forum, so cheers for the beer mate and get a bloody move on and get Sirens sorted!

He was behind the merchandise stall in Edinburgh.
JG was yacking to him.
