I asked him at the time if it had been pressed up yet and where there any promo's. He said there where none but it was "ready to go". Hopefully it was'nt an MP3 copy he was listening to the other day.

Initially Lost Sirens was going to be on a limited run but they where genuinely surprised by the level of interest there was for it. The pre-sales for the album are very good. WFTSC gets a lot of flack on here but I actually like it and there's bound to be some gems on this new one. Maybe Gary could give us a heads up on here instead of twitterspace?

It'll either come out or it won't. If it doesn't, I won't buy it. if it does, I will. The only person who seems to want this not to come out, and wants us not to have the option of even hearing it, is Hooky - on the basis of what has been said. They should whack his parts off and get Tom to add new ones. That'll give Captain Bloody Obstructive something new to talk about in his inevitable interviews. He left the band and is now actively stopping the band releasing material.

I hear you guys, and I'm finding this very frustrating.

Rhino can't release it until all of the band members have signed on the dotted line. Are they still waiting for a signature? Recordstore.co.uk have it listed for the 30th July but it also says TBC as well. Maybe speculation on their part? It's listed in their top 10 pe-orders and it's all over the web. I don't think it should be on pre-order unless Rhino know what's happening. That would be a waste of people's time.

If it's not coming out then so be it. At some point soon the record company have to make a decision and we all know who's fault it will be if it's scrapped. We need some clarification.

but simple minds had an album that the record company didn't want to support. and kept getting delayed and cancelled.

it was to be their 12th studio album.

so what happened was a radio station in spain decided to broadcast all the tracks. of course they were recorded by fans, and distributed as mp3's, and spread across the web.

of course, unless someone gets their hands on a promo, or pre-release. i doubt it will get out... but you never know..

i remember getting crystal, and 60mph way before they were released... no one believed me then either, until they heard the edits..

Yes, originally we tried to have our new album out this year but there is a lot going on behind the scenes on the copyright. I’d rather not go too deep about it right now, but we are hoping to clear things up as soon as possible and make it available for the fans soon.

What was your focus on the album and what can fans expect?

The album features about eight tracks that were recorded during the sessions for “Waiting for the Sirens’ Call” (2005) and all of them are previously unreleased. I’d like to say that the album is an eclectic mix of electronica and guitars. Hope the fans are going to love it.
