Maybe he was a journalist who happened to be with them on the day,
from one review I have read of it seemingly the book is full of anecdotes like the time they played a gig in Preston and didn't get paid so instead the merry pranksters stole 30(?) frozen chickens from the venue...
It wasn't all doom and gloom you know..![]()

Yes a very good idea indeed!
Yep, I WILL NOT BUY THIS BOOK UNTIL LOST SIRENS HAS BEEN RELEASED. Please take note Mr Hook.

Comes with a CD of retooled Stiff Kittens demos by Peter Hook & the Light (feat Tony Hadley)
And the Lost Sirens tracks, as performed by Peter Hook & the Light (featuring the hologram of Ian Curtis).

On Amazon UK there are two versions of the hardcover edition. One costing £10 and the other costing £15.74, the cheaper one seemingly has 336 pages whilst the dearer option has 368 pages and a more attractive cover.
By the way While browsing on the Wasterstones site I came across this especially for those who wish to boycott the Hooky Book..I Thought it had sold out..

No, it's The Eternal.
I recall him saying Atmosphere was the song he was most proud of... maybe that's not the same as his favourite 😕

I bought it yesterday in HMV - (Hardback @ €13)
I started reading it last night and just finished it a while ago.![]()
I don't see how anyone who is a fan of JD/NO could not find it an engrossing read.. But you can all judge for yourselves....
BTY - There is a typo on page 286 "always" is spelt "alaways" 😈
It's not released until 27th on iTunes. I might buy it then.
I leafed through it in Waterstones yesterday. It was reduced by £5 and every page I looked at had a story about urine.
I only looked at about three pages though.
Strangely, as I was walking back to the car, Hooky drove past me. He never let on.

It didn't cross my mind.

You're surely referring to Albert Speer's book?
Biginoil wrote: every page I looked at had a story about urine.
There is a lot in the book about the "japing" that went on alright, or "Team Building" as it would be referred to nowadays...
There was a bit of thieving going on back then aswell - and not the thieving of riffs either..![]()
