Hopefully will enlighten the world, but in how many limited edition formats will it come in and at what cost.

Also, nice to see Hooky mention Barney first and by name.

If he wants to tell his perspective, all right, but I don't really believe one person (or book) is wrong and another is right. It's just that there are different POVs, no matter the writer; whether a journalist, or Ian's wife, or Hooky, or whoever else. That said, I'm not really interested.

Bernard Sumner on Joy Division Book: "One Day The Truth Will Come Out"

He was in Joy Division so he has a right to write the book. But he's a very opinionated person and quite a lot of the time his opinions are wrong – so I'd be very wary of that book.

Eventually the truth always comes out doesn't it? One day the truth will come out.

Actually, writers have no POV at all, since none of them lived the thing. Not that films or books can't depict most of what happened correctly, at least the public stuff, but take Control, for instance, several of its scenes were taken out of the Jon Savage interview with Barney.

Writers can create or present a point of view through how they tell the story though. Yes I know Hooky lived through it but it's not a case of Hooky being right and the journos wrong, or vice versa.

I'm guessing anything Hooky related in this book will have to be taken with a load of salt. Could be a while before I read it though - I'll get it when Lost Sirens comes out.

There's an idea, could Hooky be delaying the Lost Sirens to coincide with the release of the JD book?

Atmosphere isn't Hook's favourite JD song? thought he'd said on many occasions it was.

Not keen on the book's cover but i'm coming round more now to reading it

Big preview/article with pics in physical NME now (just saw the advertisement, not the actual thing), things heating up, perhaps the reason NO are playing and planing to play more JD songs?

I personally didn't interpret it that way, honestly. But who knows? That said, that's Hooky's book isn't it? I don't think it's as simple as 'Oh Hooky wrote a book about JD so were're going to play a bunch of JD songs'.

Bought the NME with the feature about this book. Might scan and post here some of the rare unseen pics just to give my scanner a run out if nowt else. One or two pics i've never seen
