Did they play in the closing ceremony? Didn't have them here at least in the States if they did play....

No it was a separate gig in Hyde Park. It was billed as a Closing Ceremony gig, as it happened on the same day but it wasn't part of the Olympic Ceremony.

intersting interview - any haphazard guesses at what "new songs" they were rehearsing to add to the set?

I'd love to see them add something like Leave Me Alone or perhaps Paradise. Also Touched by the Hand of God, as I think it could be re-worked and dazzle with this lineup.

I agree,

i would live to see this time of night, shellshock, tbthog, all day long, fine time even world (perfecto edit with phil on keys).

I would drop the Joy division stuff except for ceremony. same goes for lv.

Love the joke about Blue Monday being the biggest selling twelve-inch of all times because it was actually thirteen inches.

They're probably rehearsing Technique songs for Ibiza. I hope they'll bring a bit of the Balearic spirit with them to the States.

Overall, nice interview :)
