i would rather have seen "rock the shack", "someone like you" or "close range" as a new single. the track "60 miles an hour" has already been released in Germany for free on a cd-sampler at the popular musicmag "Visions". Anyway best wishes and love for your beautiful music. It is very sad that New Order don´t play in my hometown Frankfurt/M. SK

Someone Like You should be the next single. It is more electronic than Crystal and would be a good change while letting others know they are not a RocknRoll band now like some mags are implying. Who decides on the singles anyway? New Order....London?...a combination? Rock the Shack should have been a b-side or a split single with Primal Scream. It will be programmed out of my final copy of Get Ready and does not represent NewOrder in my opinion. I feel like the track listing for GetReady should have been different. No Slow Jam and no Rock the Shack...add Player and Sabotage and the Chems track and you got a killer disc.

I have to contradict your words, well, I´ll try, because my English is pretty awful. I love the track "Rock the shack" and I think it fits perfectly into the new New Order-Record. The new record "Get ready!" gets its stength out of his musical variations. And it is cool to see how New Order can rock these days. I love "Slow Jam" even more. It is one of the very best tracks on this album. But still I don´t think that "60 miles an hour" is the best choice to become a second single. After the very interesting single "Crystal", which took me to buy the album, there is a need for another shocker. I think "60 miles an hour" is much too nice and airplay-like. Greetings, SK

It's nice to know that no song on the new album is disliked by all. i think that is a triumph for get ready. all day long should have been a single for Brotherhood so this debate is not new.

Yes Brian...shame on you for dissing rock the shack...it's a groovy little tune...but that is why Baskin Robins has 31 (or is it 32?) flavors....

How can you say 'Rock The Shack' should be the next single? It's utter pants, and doesn't deserve to have New Order on it all; they should have dumped it onto Primal Scream. I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than listen to this poor effort of a tune. I'd want the next single to be 'Turn My Way' or 'Run Wild' as these are undoubtedly the hidden gems on 'Get Ready'

i cant see why "rock the shack" should stand out in a bad sense. to me it fits perfectly into the album. but anyway i like primal scream as well. sk

Actually, Turn My Way should have been the next single, and i do hope it will be the 3rd single at least.

Maybe the order should just release 10 singles from this album just to make everybody happy...there, now we can be friends again!!!

I think 'Close Range' is the best rack on the album - it is even better live. The live version is reworked to over 5 mins - and it includes a lot more Hooky bass. I first heard it when I went to the Liverpool show nad thought "This song kicks ass!"
