Nice piece on the album on the Quietus site. http://thequietus.com/articles/12436-new-order-power-corruption-and-lies-review Also just wondered what peoples thoughts were now on the 2088 remaster of this album. I put on the original Factory 1986 Cd and I could be wrong but it sounds miles better! You can hear everything. I noticed immediately, Steve's hi hats in AOC sound too bright on the remaster, much more natural on the original. Whats the general consensus?

ALSO while i'm here, which came first Blue Monday or 586? Cheers!

Not a bad piece. Though i always heard on 586 'I see danger' not 'I hear danger'. I suspect 586 came before Blue Monday.Leave Me Alone has one of Barney's finest ever lyrics. Agree Your Silent Face is the heart of the album.Age Of Consent probably changed my musical taste and outlook forever at the age of 15.

When I first played the Album , amazazed at how clean it sounded, a coming off age.

586 debuted at Futurama August,,(82) Blue monday later in Australia.

I see danger.

586 arrived in May 82, and had probably been kicking around since a while before then.
