PETER HOOK & THE LIGHT ANNOUNCE SEPTEMBER 2013 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR PERFORMING NEW ORDER'S 'MOVEMENT' AND 'POWER, CORRUPTION & LIES' LIVE

Following on from the success of their sold out UK shows back in January, Peter Hook & The Light will officially begin their 'Movement' and 'Power, Corruption & Lies' world tour by returning to the USA and Canada in September 2013...

Hooky & The Light will return to North America for the first time in 2 years, performing 11 concerts in the USA and 3 shows in Canada...

Each show will feature full performances of the first two New Order albums, as well as various other singles & B-sides from the corresponding period of the band's history – with the exception of the previously announced Riot Fest Chicago performance, where the band will perform a set of Joy Division songs as a 2013 US exclusive...

Hooky and The Light have toured North America twice before, in December 2010 and September 2011, where the band performed the Joy Division albums 'Unknown Pleasures' and 'Closer' live, tours which earned rave reviews from fans and critics alike as well as featuring special guest performances from the likes of Moby, Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell and Billy Corgan of the The Smashing Pumpkins...

This year I think..

Cracking! I hope to see them in Austin. Curious about the band; I've really enjoyed reading Hooky's books despite his twattish behavior.

Just got my Detroit tickets. So psyched to experience PC&L & Movement- first time was 1983 in Detroit at St. Andrews been totally 'hooked' ever since!

Jack, how did Hommage fare?

I went to the show on friday night at Webster hall in NYC, I went to the show expecting nothing and I was shocked how good they sounded and how the show was, the songs sounded very good and people had a great time, so much energy in the room. It was nice meeting Peter and Jack after the show. I had a great time.

Bloody hell, I posted this in the Music for pleasure thread when it should have gone here...

Top show! I was hopeful that they would be good, certainly, as a NO/JD fan I was required to go - but I went out of a sense of "how likely is it that we'll see PH in town again?" than just going to hear a brilliant show.

Well I was pleasantly surprised! I heard lots of clips on Soundcloud, but the energy of The Light is amazing. Hooky is terrific as a frontman. The band is tight, Jack plays his dad's basslines to perfection, and Hooky can break out with the killer riffs on the Shergold when he feels like it. The sound was great, miles better than the NO show at the Austin Music Hall this summer. Epic to hear "Procession," "Warsaw," "Dreams Never End," and "In A Lonely Place" live!

Go see the Light if they come to your town, you won't be disappointed!
