Just been listening to a Monaco track called Marine where a TRUMPET intermingles with Hook's bassline; the result being a superb, interesting piece of music. It's quite interesting to hear a trumpet on a New Order related song, as way back in the eighties they were always being accused of ripping of the composer Ennio Morricone - who is himself, an accomplished trumpet player. Has the panel of experts any opinion on this observation?

Nope, fraid not - but Barneys Cowbell and Marr's Harmonica take some beating! as do Hooky's Blue Monday drums (u know the ones he cant leave alone at the end of a gig!! 
)
I think marine is also the first time a harpsichord has been combined with dum and bass!

i agree. hooky does go a bit hog wild with the little electro-drums (or whatever they're called) when they play BM live. it's a bit embarassing to observe, although also entertaining, like watching a child playing with a new christmas gift.
the cowbell...like watching some strange swiss child play with a new christmas gift.
