Yeah, my nads are straining at the elastic at the very thought. A girl in the pub told me Bernard's auto-biography is coming out. She knows, 'cos she's writing it.

Cheers for that Wayne - I was hoping for something in the South, but it's not looking good unless he leaves it until the last minute to announce something. I'll probably just order a copy through Amazon and leave it at that.
Yeah I was hoping for more dates too Ken. I'm in Leicester so I was hoping for something in the Midlands. I thought he may do something in Birmingham, and also further South especially London.
But I agree, it's not looking likely at this moment.
I wrote to Random House to ask if they'd do any more, as obviously they'd be interest around the UK, but never got a reply.
I also sent a tweet to Dave Haslam saying that fans around the country would like a few more dates, but none added so far.
Maybe there will still be something added, or maybe he'll do a few more when it comes out in paperback next year to re-promote it at that time.
It doesn't always happen with the paperback launch but sometimes it does. For example, Sir Alex Ferguson did a handful of events for when his autobiography came out in hardback last year, but now he's doing a big 'Evening With' talk at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London on 26 Oct to mark the book coming out in paperback.
So maybe we will see something in other parts of the UK for Chapter and Verse at some point.
Here's hoping anyway.
Doubt there would be anymore of these so booked tickets for Manchester. Only a few left restricted only, only the back of Barneys head will be visible. These Hooky tweets have probably helped Bernard shift a few more copies, free publicity and all that.
I'm approaching the book with as much of an open mind as I approached Hooky's two tomes. It's clear both men will put forward things "as they remember them" which may not strictly tally with what actually happened. With that in mind, Steve's book will most likely be the one to read (for sheer accuracy).
Bernard's traditionally been reasonably tight-lipped in interview regarding absolute specifics of band relationships, mechanics, politics etc. preferring to fall back on "as a band, we think..." whereas Hooky - to put it mildly - has never shied away from what his own opinions are. It's going to be really interesting - perhaps more so than with Hooky's books - because this will be the first time we'll get Bernard's unvarnished and uninterrupted opinions on key people/events.
Not expecting Hooky to come out of it very well after recent disputes but I'd be surprised if all of his contributions are dismissed.
Looking forward to the Waterstones signing next week.
