the release date is today, but I went to 3 stores and none had it, so I guess I will have to get it from HMV.com

One store was even playing Crystal, so I thought for sure they had it and were playing it, but they were just playing get ready

if you look at online dealers... you see a bunch of vague ... usually with no track listing and saying coming soon, or special order in a few weeks, or backorder...

this whole situation with the new collections is and still remains odd... isn't this a major label release in the UK and Canada?!?!

I don't know why, but i've bought "International" today...

  • Ceremony 4:25 same version as on SUBSTANCE
  • Blue Monday 7:25
  • Confusion 4:42 SUBSTANCE-version, NOT the original Arthur B.!
  • Thieves Like Us 6:38
  • Perfect Kiss 4:50 Low-Life album-version
  • Shellshock 6:30 SUBSTANCE-version
  • BLT 6:43 SUBSTANCE-version, titled "extended dance mix"
  • True Faith 5:51 SUBSTANCE-version, not the '94'er
  • TBTHOG 7:04 Original 12" version as on the CD-single
  • Round and Round 4:00 single edit
  • Regret 4:09
  • Crystal 6:51 album-version !!!
  • 60 Miles an Hour 4:35 album-version !!!
  • Here To Stay 3:56 radio edit !!!

Which moron compiled this "Best Of" ??? :mad2:

The booklet features some liner notes by a certain David Blot.

TPK - Low-life album chop up? Confusion - Substance version!!!?

...this compilation is total bullshit! I really expected the original recording of confusion, and the weird thing about is, that Baker is listed in the credits...but for the artwork...the blue mountains and red flowers work very well, nothing on the backcover, only song-titles. Art-direction by Peter Saville.

Hmmm, thanks for that information, now I know I don't need to worry about getting it. Being a complete sucker I was half-inclined to get it just in the belief that it had the full 12" version of TPK, now I know that there isn't even that slight pretext.
I really must get round to borrowing a record deck and transferring my New Order vinyl (that I have no means of playing anymore) to cdr sometime.

(oh, and couldn't they at least have stuck the recall mix of 60mph on there? Its as if they've gone out of their way to make it as utterly pointless a record as possible)

Thieves was on the european release of the 1994 best of compilation. The featured version was the same as the Substance version, except for an echo on the word "knife" ( ... like a broken knife (knife) ... ). There has been no explanation about this minor difference. And the song was simply entitled Thives Like Us, not TLU-94.

He was left in charge but a donkey strayed onto the railway line and now Harbottle and Billy are deputising.
