I've found the FBN edit or the variation they put on Total to be a pretty good representation of TPK as far as edits go.

The live version they played on the '93 tour had an intro not too dissimilar to the Ivan Ivan Edit didn't it?

Never cared for the album version that much.

The thing is the Ivan Ivan edit is a bit of a hatchet job and doesn't present TPK in its best light. It might be rare but ultimately a compromise between what might appeal to collectors and what is best commercially has to be made.

It'll get a release one day, along with other similar rarities.

I agree with this (and the last post above). I'm torn between wanting the compilation to finally contain all the true 7" versions, but prefer the FBN 7" (and FBN 7" of The Kiss Of Death) to the rather awkward UK edit. But it'd also be nice to have a digital remaster of the shorter edit, for a change.

So I have no objection to either edit being on there. It'll be interesting to see what they choose!

Where's Video 586?!

Where's Murder?!

lulz

But really? Until I get an unnecessary 12" of the Full Video Version of "The Perfect Kiss" (expertly remastered by 50£ Note), I don't care. (reissue, repackage..)

Give us Recycle in official form.

Agree, but could you really put a NO compilation on and sit through those tedious, repetitive 7364061784 hours again?

I don't understand Murder it's an odd one. It's not a B side but neither was it a UK single.

In theory Video 586 isn't a single. If you were bored enough and read the UK chart rules (don't ask) then you would see this.

I would be that bored, but I take your word. 😂

Or for a tastier 'deluxe' version, these 28 tracks would fit onto two bonus CDs (including the seven-inch edits of B-side dub/alternate band versions):

The editing is a disgrace. 'WH...!' Makes Razormaid look like Horn and Lipson. I'm amazed it got through at all, let alone onto an official release.

I can see it now... The majors get it right after fucking up for years... By a curious coincidence I was watching Shug's Electronic DVDs yesterday - remember those? Fan releases urinate over official ones. Compare and contrast Recycle / International.

Anyone know if this remaster is getting a UK release? Can't find it listed at any UK online stores yet, and don't want to spend more on US shipping.

Does anybody ever seen some picture of the Singles' 4 x 180g vinyls box set? Except on Music Direct I didn't see anything else about the box in anywhere as Amazon or even Rhino website, the band's on line store etc.

I've come to the conclusion that the majors fuck these things up on purpose to make life more fun / frustrating for the hard-core fans. I'm looking forward to: 'Singles, 2013, released on 30 February 2062: One of the songs will be edited by 6.295 seconds to give forum users something to talk about. The Perfect Kiss will be the album edit which is shit to irritate people. Blue Monday will have the same glitches as those wondrous remasters so the people who shelled out for them will know. True Faith will be replaced by Ruined In A Day - Bogle Mix for no reason at all. Turn will be listed but replaced by Ruined In A Day - Bogle Mix for no reason at all too.'

Note revised tracklisting (and they're all 2015 remastered versions, not sure why it only says it on True Faith):

CD1:

CD2:

01 Fine Time (7” Version) 02 Round And Round (7” Version) 03 Run 2 (7” Remix Edit) 04 World In Motion 05 Regret 06 Ruined In A Day (Radio Edit) 07 World (The Price Of Love) [Radio Edit] 08 Spooky (Minimix) 09 Nineteen63 (Arthur Baker Radio Remix) 10 Crystal (Radio Edit) 11 60 Miles An Hour (Radio Edit) 12 Here To Stay (Radio Edit) 13 Krafty (Single Edit) 14 Jetstream (Radio Edit) 15 Waiting For The Sirens’ Call (Rich Costey Radio Version) 16 Turn (Stephen Street Edit) 17 I’ll Stay With You (Lost Sirens LP Version)

This is due out in the US on Friday (6 Nov). Anyone know if it's coming out in the UK again (on CD ideally, or at least digitally)?

It's been put back until early next year now.

There were some minor things left to sort out and it missed the deadline.

Fair dos. Thanks for letting us know.

To be honest I'd rather they took a bit longer and got it perfect than rush release something with mistakes.

The box-set has the potential to be a really nice item.

EDIT: Not to mention it lets our bank accounts recover! It's a pricey time to be a New Order fan, both for new releases and gigs.

Since it's being delayed a couple months, it seems like a good opportunity to add the single edits of "Restless" and "Tutti Frutti" to the end of the album. I'd rather have those on there instead of "Turn" and "I'll Stay With You" since neither were actually singles.

Out of curiosity, I compiled a playlist of the above track listing for both discs listed above and got the following times:

Disc 1 - 1 hour, 5 minutes and 55 seconds There's roughly fourteen minutes of blank space here. "Murder" could be added, plus it would be good to see "Dreams Never End" and "Age of Consent" added so all the LPs are represented with at least one song.

Disc 2 - 1 hour, 7 minutes and 10 seconds This has an extra twelve minutes of space, so the single edits of "Restless" & "Tutti Frutti" could be added.

Warners is releasing Singles and will not include new Mute material.

One could argue for Murder but Dreams Never End and Age of Consent are not "Singles".

Make your own CD. The technology is available.

"Turn" or "I'll Stay With You" weren't singles either, yet are currently part of the upcoming track listing. There's also a handful of promo edits that weren't official singles either. "Dreams Never End" & "Age of Consent" appeared on a handful of other releases besides the albums, so their appearance wouldn't be any more out of place than the other promo edits and non-single tracks.

Warners is releasing the CD, not you. The track listing is not perfect, but I understand their choice of songs that were at least promotional singles over album tracks such as Dreams Never End and Age of Consent that also happen to have turned up on previous Best Of's.

To me, one of the most peculiar omissions is Guilt is a Useless Emotion. It's their only single release to have won a Grammy Award.

I remember Barney at Wembley Arena in 2006: "Now we're going to make you dance!". Cue GIAUE....and much indifference from most of the crowd. Awards? Pah!

Thanks for that enlightening piece of information, but if you read this entire thread it appears that someone here is actually involved with this compilation somehow (obviously not you either [:p].) A few other people have already made suggestions on what could be included besides me, so I figured since there's now a two month delay with this compilation, I figured it is worth throwing in my two cents in case there's a slight chance that the person involved is reading this and considers anyone's suggestions.

You can ask to change the tracks all you want. But you might have to end up changing the title from "Singles".

Once you add all the radio/remix/dub/edits, you and the likes of -1 can jack off all over it.

So does this mean pics of your mom will be included in the booklet as well? Spanktacular! I'll make sure to squeeze a little extra out just for you.
